Secrets of Magic Revealed

The Power of Integration

Welcome to Magic & Miracles!

I am so thrilled to be able to share this experience with you in the truly magical space of Sundance Ranch, Ashcroft, B.C. This event is the culmination of decades of work in the healing space from my early work in my family’s natural health care facility, to my fourteen years as Medical Exercise Program Director of the P.E.R.C Medfit center, and to my current work in addictions and trauma counseling.

The common thread and realization throughout my work with thousands of clients world wide is that in order to truly be happy and  successful in our lives we need to become “fully integrated”. But what does this look like? Integration is the harmonious balance and interplay of the various aspects of our lives so that our relationships, our mental and physical health, and our success in the world all work together seamlessly.

There is an ancient science and methodology that our ancestors discovered and that modern science is just beginning to understand, and this method is available to everyone who is  open minded and willing to do the work. What seems to be “magical or miraculous” is the integration of the human mind, the mysterious world of quantum physics, and the spiritual rituals of our ancestors. When these three parts come together there is truly nothing we cannot accomplish, and yes, life, becomes magical!

Travel to Ashcroft B.C.

Ashcroft is located approximately 4 hours outside of Vancouver by car and one hour from Kamloops. Depending on how long you intend to stay in BC, you can rent a car in Vancouver and enjoy the scenic drive up to the ranch and be able to take your time while in our beautiful province. If you are flying into Kamloops we will be organizing travel to the ranch from the airport, so you would ideally plan to land with an earlier flight so we can transport you to the ranch before 1:00 pm on Sunday, October 16th. And flights leaving the Kamloops region should also be booked in the late afternoon to ensure ample time to leave the ranch and check in to your flight.

 What to bring

October in Ashcroft is  generally crisp and sunny, sitting around 16 degrees celsius or 60 degrees fahrenheit. Rain is always a possibility but typically the region is fairly dry.

You will want to dress in layers as it can be very warm in the early part of the day and cool off considerably in the evening. So the following items are ideal for your trip…

  •  Light rain jacket or shell
  • Warm gloves
  • Sweaters
  • Stretchy jeans/pants
  • Warm Socks
  • Cowboy boots (the ranch also has boots you can rent)
  • Hat or toque. The ranch does provide riding helmets if you wish.

Food

The ranch provides three wonderful meals per day buffet style as a part of your package but if you have specific dietary needs you can contact the ranch prior to your arrival and they will accommodate your needs. If there are snack type foods you wish to bring I would recommend things like beef jerky, low sugar protein bars, almonds, cashews or macadamia nuts. As we spend several hours, twice a day on horseback, you may find yourself getting a bit hungry so having some snacks available may be helpful. If you are traveling across the border and cannot bring foods items with you there is a town a few kilometers away that we can pick up some items for you.

Horseback Riding

Horses are beautiful creatures and are very intuitive and safe. One of the things I recommend you do when you are provided with a horse (which will be your horse for the duration) is to talk to it, let it know if you are a bit uneasy. I love these incredible animals and I quickly bond with the horse I am given for my time at the ranch, and I am finding opportunities to let it know how much I appreciate it carrying me through these beautiful spaces.

Depending on the skill level of the group, we may divide the group into beginners and intermediate riders for safety reasons. The daily rides are a time to reflect on our discussion and to slow down your busy mind and connect with the natural world. Those in the intermediate group will have the opportunity to run with their horse along various parts along the trails that are safe to do so. Those who are quite new to horseback riding will enjoy a beautiful ride through the rugged terrain, being safely guided by one the ranches experienced wranglers.

***Please note there is a weight limit for horseback riding. Please click here to make sure you are able to join us on horseback. The ranch will offer a discounted rate if you wish to attend the event but cannot ride***

Magic and Miracles Itinerary

Sunday Oct 16th   ~  Arrival 12:30 pm

This is the suggested arrival time for all guests and depending on the volume of guests leaving on that day we may have access to our room right away or we may have to wait until 3:00 pm or later. We are able to go for our first ride at 2:15 pm on the day we arrive and there is a mandatory demo at 2:00 at the corral. If you wish to ride at that time, there is a sign up sheet on the wall just before the entrance to the office where you put your name and skill level as a rider. It is not crucial that we all ride together on Sunday and it’s an opportunity to unwind after your travels.  After your ride the afternoon is yours until dinner which is served at 6:30 pm. You will find place cards with your name on it and we will be seated together in the same area of the dining hall. After dinner will we head to the saloon to meet up and do our official orientation for the weeks events to come.
