Your Ceremony... Your Way

Rev Deacon

I became an ordained minister at the request of others.  My intention was to only share my spiritual knowledge.  However, I was constantly requested to perform weddings and funerals.

My belief is in Spirit (God), not a church organization.  A church organization has so many "do's" and "don'ts" that no one can follow and we are always sinning* according to those rules.  Further, ceremonies have to be performed in a certain way supposedly for God to honor them.  I do not find the freedom I believe God intended for each individual within the boundaries of a church organization.

*(The verb "to sin" originally was an archery term meaning "to miss the mark".  In other words, a mistake that needs correcting with practice.)

I really do not teach about how to believe in God.  I teach how to use the Laws... "such as Cause and Effect"... that were set in motion by God at creation.

The Bible states that God gave man/woman "volition"... in other words, "self-choice".  Individuality means real individualized being and real personified self-choice.  We could not imagine an individuality without self-choice; but what would be the use of self-choice unless the ability to choose were backed with the power to externalize that choice?  It would remain simply  an idle dream, never coming into real self-expression.  A little thought will make it clear that, if man/woman is created to express freedom, he/she must be left to discover him/herself.

I teach how to discover ourselves without getting hurt too badly by our "sins"... "missing the mark"... "mistakes".  How one believes in God is not the important issue here.  It certainly can help.  But, the issue here is how the Universe works and how can I use that knowledge to create a consistently better life.

So, I am a teacher that shares his learned knowledge openly.  I am also an ordained minister that will provide YOUR baptism, funeral, wedding or renewal of vows YOUR WAY.
