I found the breathing and inhaling definitions interesting. Never quite thought of it that way. So my very breathing is an act of inspiring. Well, that does make sense since I have heard that a person that has passed away has expired... stopped breathing.

But, that is not the reason that I included 'inspiration' in the blessing. Its meaning to me was 'to arouse the mind or emotions... to stimulate... impel... enliven... spur... give an incentive.' In fact, I like to think of it this way, in-spirit-ation... the act of being. Because I am referring to being inspired by Spirit. "Show me Spirit..." "Inspire me Spirit..." Kind of like "Guide me Spirit", but with the added arousal of my awareness and emotions.

This morning I read that Jesus said in essence: "Watch what I do, understand the words I speak, enter into conscious union with the Spirit, and you will do greater things than I have done." Now, that inspires me. I can do greater things in my life than Jesus did?!... That arouses my mind and emotions. I can do greater acts of kindness. I can do greater acts of love. I can do greater acts of accepting I can flow with the elements of earth... change water into wine... feed the multitudes... walk on water... float objects... levitate... and, so much more. YUPPERS! No limitations.

What inspires you? What inspires you to be a better person? What inspires you to forgive yourself... or another? What inspires you to react with love instead of anger or hate? What inspires you to improve yourself? What inspires you to meditate or hold communion with all of yourself? What inspires you to desire more than what you have? Just... what does inspire you?

I am inspired by love. My loving and being loved inspires me to be the best spirit/human I can. I am inspired by a beautiful scene... like being in the wilderness. That beauty... that silence... the breath of fresh air... everything in tune with itself inspires me to give thought to myself... and more. I am inspired by an athlete who just pushed them self to break a record. I am inspired by a movie and its message... "Nell" with Jodie Foster was a very inspiring movie. It aroused my emotions and understanding... it awakened my heart.

Sometimes being inspired means to feel hurt. The arousal of your emotions can bring the memories of pain... sadness... guilts. But that should bring us the inspiration to change our outlook... grow through it. But, I am seeing in-spirit-ation in a different light than before. Even my pains are for in-spirit-ation. My pains are something that Spirit wants me to be inspired by... realize... recognize... so I can grow through them. How many times do I ignore my pains? How many times do I stuff my pains? How many times do you?

I just re-read this and I saw something... in-spirit-ation just became in-spirit-action... spirit in action. Hmmm... Inspiration = Spirit in action. Now, I appreciate this word inspiration even more. YUPPERS! I want Greater Perfect Inspiration in my life. I want Greater Perfect Spirit in Action in my life. Please hear me now... You want Greater Perfect Spirit in Action in you life. And, I bless you with it every time I communicate with you. I am glad I do that.
