SHOW ME SPIRIT

Living in Trust... A difficult task for sure. As we go about our daily activities we become use to the tasks that we must perform. As we create these habits, we separate from Spirit more and more. We let our egos take over. We know how to type this letter... we know how to file these papers... we know how to talk to this person... we know how to drive this car... we know... and so forth... Each time we do this, we separate from Spirit more and more. So, why is it important to invite Spirit into such mundane tasks. Well, have you ever had a computer jam up on you... have you ever not found a file that you need to file papers in... have you found yourself loosing your patience with someone you are talking too... have you ever found yourself almost in an accident... these are when Spirit is absent. When Spirit is in the midst of these things, these things do not happen. And, what about the time that is adding up. The time wasted with events like these. And, what about when we are home. I know how to make breakfast... I know how to feed the dog... I know how to shower and shave... I know how to get dressed... or, how about in the evening, I know how to make dinner... I know how to go through my mail... etc.... etc... we know how to do most everything in our day. And, we let ego control most of our day. So, we burn our hands while cooking... we cut ourselves while shaving... we slip and bump our head while showering... we are not paying attention and we put one black and one dark blue sock on... (which I did while we were at a Bed & Breakfast)... So, most of our day is giving ego control of our life. Spirit is not involved because we feel smarter than Spirit. At the end of the day, we are sitting there with troubles. We call upon Spirit. And, it does not respond. We call upon Spirit again. And, it does not respond. We call upon Spirit again. And, it responds with... "Oh, it is you?!.. Haven't heard from you for awhile. Thought you forgot about me. Took me awhile to realize you really wanted to talk to me. What can I do for you." But, it is real feint because ego is so use to you relying on itself that it is jabbering in the foreground... like static on a telephone. Hey... we know what to do. We got the answer. We can figure it out. No problem. And, then we say I don't want to figure it out, I want the answer. Then, we end up in a conversation with ego while again we separate from Spirit. Spirit slowly fades away. For Spirit never insists on helping us. We must go to it.

It is no wonder Spirit is so hard to converse with. We sit down to meditate once in awhile and wonder why our mind will not sit still.

So, we take the time to talk with Spirit the minute we get up. We take a few precious minutes and say good morning Spirit. We take a few more minutes and say our Affirmations. Then, as we start to get ready to go to work we invite Spirit along by saying, "Show me Spirit how to best do this." And, we shower, shave or put on our make-up, get dressed with Spirit as our partner. And, we end up being ready for work 10 minutes earlier than usual. We stand there in wonderment of how? We added time for the Affirmations?... something we don't normally do.

We head for work while saying, "Show me Spirit how to best do this." The drive is perfect. No assholes cutting us off... or causing us to have to veer our vehicle. We have a parking space waiting for us right in front of where we are supposed to be. We continue with "Show me Spirit how to best do this." throughout our work day. None can give us trouble. Monica starts to open her mouth with something smart to say and she finds that she cannot express it. Spirits with you.... Hee... Hee... Everything works perfectly... and as it should... because Spirit is with you. At the end of the day, you are amazed at how much you got done... and, how much less strain you feel. Your sciatic don't hurt. Your chipper and ready to go dancing.

Your drive home is uneventful... just a breeze. Why?... because you said when you got in the car, "Show me Spirit how to best do this." And, when you get home your daughter is pleasant and says I got to go up and do my homework but is there anything I can do to help you. You find that your stuff is done at 7:30 instead of the usual 9:00. And why? Because you said "Show me Spirit how to best do this." all through your day.

Then, you sit down to meditate. Wham! You are at peace immediately and Spirit is just jabbering up a storm with all sorts of wonderful information. And why? Because...

Can it really be like this. Yuppers! We just got to give it a try. Oh, you might have to work it a few days. The ego is not just going to sit by and let you do this without a lot of static. It is going to scream for recognition. But, in the end as you move the ego and Spirit into Harmony, it is going to be happier. It doesn't know it yet, because it is all worked up ready to go to battle for you during your day. And yes, that is sort of what the ego does. Goes to battle. Where the Spirit just giggles and gets things done. Because it does not feel the insecurities that the ego does.
